Girls' Night
Having had a particularly busy summer I haven't gotten to see my sister that often but when I do I have a good time. It's usually after work when I take Gus over for dinner at his Pa's house (having a 2-year-old daughter and a dog for a grandson makes my father feel so special) !!!
KB loves to see me- one really great feeling is when she runs for me and grabs a hold of my leg, get's me every time. Our favourite activities together include puzzles, colouring (this is my all time favourite as my stepmom can attest too after I told her that I wish it was acceptable for a 24-year-old to buy crayons and colouring books for themselves), and- my favourite- dancing.
As I mentioned before, I don't get to see KB often but every time I do see her I'm completely amazed at the things she's able to do and understand. I was an only child and I've never really enjoyed being around children that much so kids growing up is ever astounding to me. My new favourite thing she's picked up on (being Miss Independent, of course) is wanting to do everything herself and when she's not allowed to she says "no" and then tells you her full name! As if being able to say her full name now (she makes it sound extraordinarily French) validates that she does everything on her own.
Last night we had fun dancing to slow jamz such as Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now". She really liked it when I dipped her like a ballroom dancer. Whenever I sat down I was scowled at and told "Sisa, dance!". Too cute.
Here we are after our particularly good night of dancing:
